Home Agreement Form
At Nine Mile Ride Primary School we continue to build a strong partnership between staff, parents and carers as we know this is important in helping children to achieve and to enjoy learning. We are determined to create an inclusive culture of learning where all children will be challenged in their thinking, to achieve to the best of their abilities and strive to become lifelong learners.

This can be done most effectively when all staff, parents and children understand their responsibilities and work together towards the same goals, as detailed in our Home School Agreement.

If you wish your child to join in local off-site (non residential) school activities and trips throughout the year, please complete the following form.

Medicine Administered in School – Consent Form (If required)
If your child needs medicine administered in school –  please complete medical consent form and ensure medicine is in it’s original bottle/box and clearly labelled with your child’s name. 

All medicines must be kept in the school office in a locked cabinet

Useful Information

Sample Lunch Menus
Meals are prepared fresh onsite by our cater Aspens Catering Services and menu’s are updated termly and can be found on our website under Information for Parents > Lunch Menus. If your child has any allergies or intolerances please include these on the online Admissions Form or contact the school office on admin@ninemileride.wokingham.sch.uk


Friends of Nine Mile Ride
Friends of Nine Mile Ride (FNMR) is an invaluable resource to the school.  The committee work tirelessly to enhance our children’s education and school life through organising events and raising funds. Read FNMR Welcome Letter (pdf)

Every year group has a FNMR Facebook group, to help you get to know other parents with children in your year for more information on existing years, please contact the committee on FNMRpta@gmail.com.

If your child is a new joiner, we’d love you to join us in our Facebook and WhatsApp group for parents with children in your year group, so we can start getting to know each other. Contact us for more information and access.

Free School Meals
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 in a government-funded school are eligible for Free School Meals; however, tell your local authority if you also receive any of the qualifying benefits as the school can benefit from extra funding to support your child if you do.

If your child is entitled to Free School Meals (not the same as Universal Free School Meals) register before September 2023 to ensure it begins from the start of school.

The Beehive Before & After School Club
The Beehive Before School and After School Care provide onsite childcare for children aged 4 to 11 years, during term time only. All Beehive staff are DBS checked, have safeguarding training and hold First Aid Certificates.

The club offers a broad range of indoor and outdoor up to date activities, ensuring that children are stimulated at all times. Children are encouraged to take an active role within the running of the club, helping with preparing snacks, writing their own rules and choosing activities.

The club provides a healthy Breakfast or Afternoon snack.

  • Breakfast Club: 7.30am – 9.00am
  • After School 3.00pm – 6.00pm

School Uniform
For hygiene and safety reasons, long hair should be tied back at all times with a simple hair tie (no ornate hair grips/bands). Inappropriate hair styles are discouraged.
No jewellery except for watches. Earrings may be worn if they are simple studs however these will need to be removed or taped for PE.
No make up or nail varnish is permitted.

Uniform (Required)

  • Grey skirt or pinafore dress, grey school trousers or shorts
  • White shirt or polo shirt
  • Navy plain/NMR sweatshirt or cardigan – NOT HOODED
  • Navy plain/NMR fleece
  • Summer – Navy checked dress
  • Summer – Navy/white ankle socks (coloured socks are not acceptable)
  • Winter – navy/white knee socks or tights, black/navy/grey or white socks (coloured socks are not acceptable)
  • Black shoes – not trainers
  • Navy/white hair accessories only

PE Kit (Required)

  • Plain white T-shirt or NMR PE T-shirt
  • Navy shorts
  • Trainers
  • Navy plain/NMR sweatshirt
  • Navy or black tracksuit bottoms

If your child wears stud earrings please provide microtape (in a named box) for placing over the earrings during P.E. lessons.

Ways to order School Uniform and PE kit
It is not compulsory to have branded school uniform items; however, if you wish to purchase logo ‘ed items, you can do so using the link: Michael Hope uniform – if you have any queries please call Michael Hope on 01225 464648.

Non branded school uniform is available from all major supermarkets and stores and pre-loved uniform is available via Friends of Nine Mile Ride.

Pencil Cases (Yr1-6)

It would be really appreciated if you could provide the following in your child’s pencil case and regularly check with your child if they need a refill:

Coolmilk
Our school provides a milk scheme, Coolmilk that is available to all of our pupils and we would like to invite you to register your child.
