We believe in
Learning for Life
We strive to create a nurturing environment that develops healthy, happy, confident children who are ready and open to learning.

Music

At Nine Mile Ride School we offer a range of extra-curricular music activities. These include learning to play an instrument and singing in choir. This can open up a different world to your child and lead to other concerts and musical activities.

Taking part in music can massively build a child’s confidence while supporting their mental health and wellbeing along the way.

Berkshire Maestros

Berkshire Maestros offer a range of music lessons both in school and at their music centre across Berkshire. Currently we offer brass, woodwind and guitar lessons through Berks Maestros in school, but they also offer other instruments too.

If your child is interested in learning an instrument more information can be found out at
Berkshire Music Trust

Current Year 5 pupils who took part in the In2Music project at the end of the summer term are entitled to a 10% discount on lessons.
Maestros’ lessons are open to any child in KS1 and KS2.

iRock

iRock offer lessons as part of a band. Children can learn to play the drums, keyboard, guitar or vocals in a band.

More information about iRock can be found on https://irockschool.com/
iRock lessons are only open to Children in KS2.

Choir

We aim to start choir later this half term and information will follow about this.

If you have any general enquiries about learning a musical instrument you can contact Mrs Tunstall through the school office. Otherwise you can register your interest directly on the Berkshire Maestros’ website or with iRock.
